With the desire and expertise to help her community find the right vacation, local entrepreneur Joyce Mariner has opened a new Expedia® Expedia Cruises® marking the first center in the state of New York. In addition to the research and booking features available on their local website, the Merrick location also offers personal travel consultations through face-to-face meetings, through email or over the phone. After a 25-year career with the New York Police Department, retiring as a homicide detective in Brooklyn North, Joyce was ready for a new career direction. Her love of travel convinced her to open the center in New York. Using her honed interrogation and interview skills, Joyce plans on helping Merrick locals plan their ideal vacation. She is pleased that now when she ‘sends people away,’ it will be somewhere on a spectacular vacation.
