Oceania Cruises presents travelers with a unique view and experience in Alaska. Sailing to all of Alaska’s must-see destinations, they also sail to uncrowded and off-the-beaten-path ports of call that larger ships cannot and do not. This allows Oceania to present their guests with a bounty of unique, and uniquely Alaskan experiences they won’t find elsewhere. They also bring their trademark approach of destination immersion to the great land, thus offering longer, all-day port stays with late departure times. That’s an important difference when it comes down to seeing Alaska, or actually EXPERIENCING Alaska.
More In-depth and Diverse Itineraries
Oceania’s 2020 Alaska season features 14 departures across 13 unique itineraries, with four 7-day voyages and 10 departures of 10-14 days. Almost all departures are 6 pm or later with many departing as late as 8 or 11 pm, maximizing your time ashore. All itineraries feature Hubbard Glacier or College Fjord and there are multiple voyages that include both.
Off-the-Beaten-Path Ports of Call
Oceania sails to the fascinating destinations that are not part of a standard Alaska cruise. Although their itineraries visit the iconic ports of Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway, Oceania also takes you to Kodiak, Wrangell, Prince Rupert, Haines, and Nanaimo to explore the history, culture, and beauty of these lesser-known ports.
A Better Than New Ship for the Last Frontier
Featuring 324 brand new suites and staterooms along with dramatically re-fashioned public spaces, Oceania Cruises’ Regatta is the only better than new ship sailing Alaskan waters. As part of a $100 million program of enhancements known as OceaniaNEXT, Regatta sparkles with new Italian crystal chandeliers, is adorned with designer residential furnishings from Baker and Donghia, and is resplendent in designer fabrics and upholstery from Rubelli and Kravet. With only 684 guests catered to by 400 professionally trained staff, nothing on board is left for want. Sleek and elegant, she features four unique, open-seating restaurants serving The Finest Cuisine at Sea, a world-class fitness center and spa, eight lounges and bars, and a Monte Carlo-style casino.
Gastronomy in Alaska
Oceania offers more than 250 immersive tours in Alaska, and being a foodie’s cruise line, their excursions include a wide variety of culinary-focused tours. Sample excursions include The Ale Trail, Flavel House Tea & Scones, and Willamette Valley Wines in Astoria, Wild Alaska Seafood Experience at Icy Strait Point, a Russian Tea Tour in Kodiak, and Taste of Sitka in Sitka. And in Victoria, options include a Craft Brewing Tour, Victoria Food & Cultural Tour, and Vancouver Island Wineries and Cider farms.
